Indeed I am from PG County..(Washington, DC Metro Area) so I have to look out for the artist straight out of DC! Wale isn't mainstream quite yet but after this hit single "Chillin" featuring Lady Gaga he could possibly be making his way to performing on the BET Hip Hop Awards later this year! After his performance at the 9:30 Club in DC onlookers were quite impressed with Wale and his DC homie Tabi Bonney who "rocked the joint!" LOL...check out the video! And if you ever come to DC you have to stop at Ben's Chilli Bowl (which you will see in the video)...Classic! Keep rocking Wale...DC behind you 100%!!!

Barack Obama Guest Commencement Speaker University Notre Dame

To the graduating class at Notre Dame :" You are a generation that must find a path back to prosperity and decide how we respond to a global economy that left millions behind even before this crisis hit an economy where greed and short-term thinking were too often rewarded at the expense of fairness, and diligence, and an honest day's work."

Obama's invitation to the University of Notre Dame as a guest speaker was a HUGE controversy. Attending a catholic university whom religion condems abortion, Obama was angrily discussed by many protestors by supporting abortion rights. To my surprise, Obama was welcomed with a standing ovation by 12,000 people and many protestors who were in attendence( which a few in the crowd was escorted out of the complex.) Despite Obama support, he managed to capture the attention of all Americans and asked for "Open hearts" and "Open Minds."

This debate will last a LIFETIME!!! Meanwhile, GO NOTRE DAME!!!!

I was surfing the net (not in search for a career in Metro) trying to find directions on the metro rail when I stumbled upon this notification: "Job Vacancy Postings Suspended

Today's Role Models

Young people today look to TV to find positive role models and others they can look up to, but real life is only experienced when the lights and cameras are off. A lot of mishaps and slip ups were made in the past couple years in celebrity entertainment which sheds a negative light to those who are going into the same career. We need more positive role models and programs to enrich children minds and be more productive... ~~Miss B~~

JUNE AMBROSE has to be discussed because she is really a BIG DEAL! Who wouldn't want to be June Ambrose personal assistant??? I would DIE (and come back to life) to work for her! As she walks the runways of New York City streets June Ambrose keeps her twitter update up-to-date as she comes across the most fashionable pieces-- i.e. clothes, pumps, daily fashion inspirations, whatever!~! What is so halarious is that June goes into what she calls "spiral" (a word that I believe means GO CRAZY 'context clues') and shows pics of random people who has totally destroyed their outfits!!! HA!

If you do not KNOW June (go kill yourself)....In some way, shape or form, June is enhancing the style and fashion sensibilities of others - even in a recession!! This PASSIONATE stylist list of clients range from designing custom outfits for Diddy and Busta Rhymes to creating art ensembles for Macy Gray and Mariah Carey. (shhh! if you follow her on twitter you can see how she has is currently styling for Chrisette Michelle). Let's not get it twisted her client list is beyond 5 people but what's crazy is that she still finds the time to workout!!!

So I HAD to do another post about Keri Hilson!

She has evolved since I last blogged about her. Keri has developed SO MUCH as an artist. I had a chance to meet Keri while working at BET and she was very beautiful inside and out....awww I loved her from the moment we met and thats why I respect her as an artist.

Now maybe I am biased because I met her before actually listening to her album, but this album is great. Check the stats... #3 album in the R&B/Hip Hop charts and #4 (Turning me on Ft. Lil' Wayne) on the Mianstream Hip Hop/R&B Charts! I think she is a breath of fresh air to the industry. The game needed a new face and she is a refresher :)

Entrepreneur's, trendsetters, role-models, and down-to-earth chicks, these sisters are the true meaning of diva! Working hard and under 25, they have set the bar high for other young people in the industry. Lets not forget they are the faces for Girl Scouts, giving back by inspiring girls to participate in Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy programs!! Wow...these two got it going on!

The Simmons sisters are currently working with the Innovative Fashion Group (IFG) and The Betesh Group to expand the Pastry brand. The Innovative Fashion Group, a division of Adjmi Apparel Group, has partnered with Vanessa and Angela to bake up a delicious Pastry apparel collection. Go girls!! I'm not a fan of urban clothes but I am really excited to see what they have to offer :)

Bottom line these girls are FABULOUS!! Oh this picture was taken at LA Fashion Week. Cute pic ladies and keep up the good work!
