Uptown Magazine and Lexus presents: The Lexus Listening Lounge featuring a performance by Ryan Leslie!!!!!!! A luxurious event featuring the first-ever HS Hybrid and an intimate performance by Ryan Leslie & Hal Linton (BET's own Rising Icon)!

Both performances were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad I had great company and people around me who embrace the sound of music as much as I do! Ryan Leslie is a great performer, writer, singer, and his band.....OMG.....off the HOOK! The band is something serious....maybe it's just me but I LOVE LIVE PERFORMANCES! You really see the artist and how creative and talented they are!

Too bad you missed it! Catch us on the next one :) I just love GREAT music and talented artists!

Guess who I met???.....KAI MILLA!!!

I know this post has nothing to do with music (well its Stevie Wonders wife so I guess it kinda is) but ANYWAY I just have to tell you about this BEAUTIFUL woman!!!

Since I have graduated college I have been trying to find a church home and for the past 3 weeks I been attending this WONDERFUL church, The First Baptist Church of Glenarden. The church is awesome....pretty HUGE...but awesome! So last week I registered for the Woman's Conference 2009...Yayyy!!!

The conference was just AMAZING today! My favorite moments were the domestic abuse women overcoming there battles, Y'Anna Crawley (Sunday's Best winner on BET), and Kai Milla (designer and wife of the legendary Stevie Wonder). The conference was great as a whole....however I knew that after Kai Milla spoke that my mission for this conference was to speak to her.

During break beween sessions I jetted right to her vendor that she had set up. She had ropes that blocked her, bodyguard beside the table and who do I see? This FABULOUS chick name Tia I met two weeks ago at my girls Fight Party (Mayweather)...we hugged...had a quick chat, then I got back to my mission....Kai Milla was Tia's auntie! SMALL WORLD!!

To make a long 20 minute conversation short...write down all the things that you want to make happen and accomplish then once you do it....scratch it off your list. Be visual...and have faith!

ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - Police confirmed Friday night that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, Kandi Burress' ex-fiance A.J. Jewell was killed at an Atlanta night club. Police said Jewell died after a fight at the Body Tap club on Marietta Boulevard.

Police said Jewell suffered a severe head injury during the fight and was taken to Piedmont Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators said they had no suspects is in custody Friday night.

Blige, Pharrell, Kanye West, Rhianna, Beyonce' and Kid Cudi. Jay-Z new Lp Blueprint 3 is a really crafty album displaying how Jay-Z has matured into a man and developed a business mental. I love this album and until I hear better...Blueprint 3 will be in HEAVY ROTATION.

By the way this was Rhianna's first performance since her incident with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The Park at Fourteenth Street

The Park at Fourthteenth in Washington, DC is a great place to hang out. This club/lounge venue is full of young professionals and a lot of room for either networking, having a drink, or just plain fun, this is the spot to be.

On this particular occassion I was going to a collegue/cousin Bachelor/bachelorette party and they had a VIP spot sectioned off for us! Great service....terrific.... drinks...on point!

And who do me and Joel run into? Yep Julissa....former/temporary 106 & Park co-host (Big Tigger was the other) at Park!



I had a great time! But I will be a Park again! ......Just be careful where you PARK downtown! They are QUICK to give tickets.... :)

A video surfaced yesterday of Maia Campbell apparently under the influence of crack cocaine. I said apparently because this is the rumor that has been circulating. I debated whether or not if I should post the video because it shows Maia in such a negative light. However, I decided to post it because maybe people will begin to pray for her. In the video you will hear guys laughing at her which is really sad that they are making a mockery of her downfall instead of helping her.

My advice to all young people aspiring to get into entertainment is: Don't get caught up in the hype. It is OKAY to say NO (to drugs)!!! Fitting in is not cool....STANDING OUT is what makes people notice you are doing GREAT things.
