NOTORIOUS B.I.G. SHOOT-OUT

Friday, January 16, 2009, a shooting occured in Greensboro, NC at the Notorious movie Premiere where actor Jamal Woolard (star actor) attended. Is the East Coast vs. West Coast beef really over? or will this movie spark back up old drama?

I am VERY disappointed....we should be celebrating Biggie's life.

PASTOR SIMMONS a.k.a DMX

Pastor Simmons everyone!!!!!

YES!!! Rapper DMX (Earl Simmons) has said that his true calling is to be a Pastor! Go X! I would love to attend one of his sermons. Arizona jail has X in 23 hour lockdown, where he has spent a lot of time with his Bible. According to MTV News, he has completed his entire gospel album. His plan after his release is to move forward with his transition to becoming a pastor. X has long talked about becoming a prominent member of a church. The rapper believes he's been put in his situation to help someone.

"I can reach people the average person can't reach because I'm as grounded as I am," he said.

Wow...
In the roughly 10-minute interview, DMX also discussed his fiancée (based in Miami, where the rapper has also had a number of run-ins with the law), his EIGHT children and his plans to star in a reality show called "Pain & Perseverance."

So So Phatfffatt!

I would like to re-introduce Ms. Dondria Nicole!!!!

Newly added to the So So Def/Island Urban, Dondria Nicole a.k.a. Phatfffatt (youtube username) has an UNBELIEVABLE voice. Discovered online by Jermaine Dupri, Dondria not only resung plenty of songs by your favorite artists, she has been posting a video diary kinda like her "journey to stardom." Remaining humble, I think she is an underated new artist but maybe thats because the competition is tough, however, I think she would kill anything in her way. Dondria Nicole's myspace page is just like anyother person's page, nothing different, just an invisible contract that says she is signed to So So Def. As I said before being HUMBLE= SUCCESS....she will be successful. And she LOVES HER FANS.........FOR REAL!!

From her ABOUT ME on myspace: "I'm a Capricorn who loves music like a fat kid loves cake!!!! It is my heart and soul! I'm crazy, i love to eat, hence the name (Phatfffat)...I just got blessed with the opportunity to sign under Jermaine Dupri and SoSoDef... and it's all thanks to my wonderful fans...I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!"

Cool Chick! I would love to hear more from you! This video is SICK! Phatfffatt KILLS "Energy by Keri Hilson"...lovely voice:

House Of Blues

If you haven't heard of the HOUSE OF BLUES...go jump off a cliff!

I have to give the House of Blues 5 STARS! The aura of the club/lounge/venue is great and the staff is wonderful (esp. Sunset Strip, CA). The House of Blues is inspired by the African American culture and folk art and embraces music and southern cuisine. This has to be "THEE" most diverse venue EVER! Music performances from artist in genres you cant possibly think of; Rock n' Roll, Punk, Alternative, Heavy Metal, Rap, Country, Hip-Hop, Rhythm and Blues, Rock en Español, Jazz, Zydeco, Folk, Electronica and so much more. The HOB walls feature American folk art affectionately referred to as the visual blues. With over a thousand original pieces of folk art, HOB houses one of the largest publicly displayed folk art collections in America.

My greatest concert experience was in Hollywood venue; T-Pain performed! Not only did T-Pain MURDER the stage; unknowing it was afterparty/show the BET awards so all kinds of people showed up, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beats, Chris Brown, Yung Jock, Lil Mama, Huey....you just never know WHO might slide through! FEFE DOBSON

A phenomenal chick that ROCKS OUT! Literally.

Fefe Dobson is what i call an "out of pocket" kinda girl! Lol..i know its weird but at least I put it into words..right? Anyway, discovered by producer songwriter Jay Levine, who together with James McCollum, co-wrote Fefe’s first album (released in 2003). Driven by Dobson’s ragged-edge, screw-you attitude, critics, fans and even the people behind the milk moustache advertisements embraced her and made Fefe one of their most recent poster girls. Raised in Scarborough, Ontario, FeFe battled the cons of being bi-racial growing up, with scars that lasted well past the end of the school bell. Then she was taken for a ride in the music industry. With a fistful of influences, both lyrically and musically, which include Guns N Roses, The Bee Gees, Bob Marley and Depeche Mode, Fefe’s music, makes you want to stop and listen to what this girl has to say. While writing and recording the songs composing her new album, sunday Love, Fefe Dobson learned the hard way how to make a great album: keep getting your heart broken.

"I fell in and out of love so many times making this record, and he was always there when it happened,” Dobson says. “I went through a really bad breakup with my boyfriend and no matter what happened, I had a session with Matthew the next day. So it was good that way, because right after I had a breakup or right after I was really emotional, I would be able to put it into music. Matthew and I would just sit there and talk about life, and he helped me through things, and then we’d just write songs, like two songs a day. I had my diary, and I was like, ‘Do you want to hear things from my diary?’ and he was like ‘Okay,’ and I started reading him poetry.”

She is the REAL DEAL!!! Give her a chance....I did...(hint: ipod)...hehe

GYM CLASS HEROES

WHOOOHOOO!!!!
Theses guys blow me away everytime I hear their music! With a funky vibe of indie/hip hop, its a mixture of endless head bopping and throbbing headaches that I will risk taking!!! Upstate New York's Gym Class Heroes uses live instruments and musicians rather than looped samples and canned beats to make their well-defined sound. Guilty as Charged Featuring Estelle did something to me....and you must check it out if you haven't already! I think these guys are truely under-rated as hip hop/indie artist, because they are truely UNBELIEVABLE!!! These guys have a different aura about them and they explemify their swag through their music!!!

GYM CLASS HEROES....YOU ROCK OUT!!!!!!!!

WELCOME TO ATLANTA

STUDIO 72: Atlanta Edition

So, of course I know you heard about this phenomenal club. If you are in Atlanta this is a "must go to spot." Owned by the man himself, Jermaine Dupri, Studio 72 nightclub host MAJOR events. If you want to have a good time and spot some local celebrities, this is the place to be. Famous faces have been spotted here on numerous occassions, which makes Studio 72 a great place for some interesting partying. For a music mogul whose party-throwing is almost as legendary as his nearly two decades of hit records, it seems like JD would have been in the nightclub business years ago.

Studio 72 is destined for greatness and will lead Atlanta and the rest of surrounding cities into a new era of nightclub entertainment. From personal experience, it's nothing like the Atlanta nightlife!!!

Lebron James Family Foundation

LJ23: Scoring by Assisting Others

You may remember the controversy over Vogue Magazine cover with Lebron James and Gisele Bundchen. His gorilla like pose dribbling a basketball with a tiny white woman in his other arm. Some called it disturbing or a racial stereotype, others called it honoring the two at the climax of their career. But Lebron has been focused on other things; like the Lebron James Family Foundation. This non-profit organization mission is to empower children to be physically fit, academically focused and environmentally aware, and empowers single parent families to succeed. Some of the programs of the foundation include: King for Kids Bikeathon, State Farm 50 Million Pound Challenge, Meal and A Movie, and more. Lebron has impacted over 4,000 children and their families and raised over 1million dollars in donations including cash and in kind.

Lebron you are great!! Keep doing what you are doing!

MR. CHOWS

Mr. Chows IS KNOWN WORLDWIDE!

Chows frequent customers usually include tourists, star atheletes, and celebrities!! Jennifer Lopez loves its lobster, while Brad Pitt goes for buttery chicken satay, which also happens to be Mischa Barton´s favorite. Jessica Simpson recently dined with sis Ashlee at the Beverly Hills branch, and Mr, Chow's is where Nicole Richie held her 24th-birthday party.
So what is so good about Mr. Chows?? Mr. Chow fled from China to England with a vision that Chinese food can be exquiste! He introduced upscale Chinese food at a time when most Chinese food was inexpensive take-out (and still is). Some people say it isn't very Chinese, but others say it's Chinese as it should be. It was known to be very "avant garde" in the 80's, but the menu has remained essentially unchanged over the years. So stop being CHEAP people!

Broaden your horizons and if you are ever in London, Los Angeles, New York, Miami or Vegas, stop by Mr. Chows!! And I hear the service is Magnificent!

Head over Hilson!

KERI HILSON!!!

Keri credentials have carried her a long way. Her resume' overflows from a songwriting career that includes MaryJ. Blige, Ciara, Usher, Danity Kane, Omarion, Chris Brown, and the list can go on and on. Think her background is impressive...check out the girl vocals!!! Native of Decatur, GA, Keri Hilson is a product of Timbaland. Signed to J Records, Keri is in heavy rotation for her two hit singles, "Energy" and "Turnin me On." At the climax of her career she is focused and ready to reach new heights in 2009 with her album, "A Perfect World."

She explains how she came up with her album name: "It’s my way of saying nothing in the world is perfect and no person in it is, either. None of us is exempt from certain hardships and heartbreaks. It was really important for me to write songs that women can relate to from real situations. I didn’t want to do an album that painted myself as perfect because no matter how things look, no one is."

Ok Keri! I'm ready to add your to the ipod! Good luck doll!

Smooches,
Miss B

Being Humble=Success

Because she is so humble, I believe Rihanna success has sky-rocketed. She is beautiful inside and out and has transformed from a girl into a woman. Not only is she fab for her style and her charismatic confidence, she founded The Believe Foundation. "Rihanna and the Believe Foundation are committed to helping our children succeed by granting them the tools they need to believe." Rihanna provides children with clothes, school supplies, to medical, financial, and educational needs." She proves to be the Prodigy of Generation Change!

Job well done Rihanna!
